With the aid of this adaptor, compressed air can be injected into the combustion chamber so as to prevent impurities from entering the latter (piston of the cylinder to be repaired on TDC position, valves are closed). The tool is needed when drilling out broken off glow plugs or when repairing glow plug retaining threads. The built-in control valve ensures the correct supply of compressed air.
