This short two-part alternator combination socket allows for the easy removal and installation of a freewheel pulley in-situ on the vehicle without the need for removing the alternator. Since the pulley cannot be counter-held from the outside while slackening or tightening the central nut, the pulley shaft needs to be locked by means of the 10mm XZN multi-spline insert during the loosening process.
