For anodizing, composite bonding and splicing, use 3M Polyester Tape 8403. This translucent green tinted tape is coated with a silicone adhesive that bonds well on difficult surfaces, including silicone coated papers and films. It is chemical resistant and performs under a wide range of temperatures and environments. This tape is a thicker version of our 3M Polyester Tape 8402.

An indoor grade tape that is a simple, easy, and fast method of protecting a surface from corrosion, abrasion, erosion and minor impact damage (such as puncture and tearing).

For tape applications requiring resistance to most chemicals used in electroplating and anodizing processes, use our 3M Electroplating Tape 470. This tan, conformable tape features an abrasion resistant backing ideal for use with plating chemicals, anodizing chemicals, milling, etching and peening operations.

3M PTFE Film Tape 5490 uses an extruded polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) film backing. This tape offers an extremely low coefficient of friction which, in combination with a pressure sensitive silicone adhesive, creates a smooth, non-stick surface over a variety of substrates to assist in the movement of materials in many types of lay-flat applications.

3M Polyurethane Protective Tape 8663 is an erosion protection tape and primarily used on aircraft leading edges such as vertical stabilizers. It is constructed of a polyurethane backing coated with a long-aging, solvent-resistant, pressure sensitive adhesive that is protected with a transparent easy-release liner.

3M UHMW PE Film Tape 5421 protects surfaces from abrasion. Our tape has a thickness 0.01 mm that offers excellent abrasion resistance, making it ideal for many tough impact wear or sliding applications. It creates a ‘slip plane’ effect to allow contact without wear. This is a thinner version of 3M UHMW-PE Film Tape 5423.

Our 3M Super Bond Film Tape 396 offers the thin caliper tensile strength of polyester and high immediate holding strength of rubber adhesive for creating butt splices on low surface energy materials such as polyethylene and other difficult-to-adhere-to surfaces. Often referred to as a single-sided adhesive splicing and core starting tape.

3M ECATT 9703 is a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) transfer tape with anisotropic electrical conductivity. PSA matrix is filled with silver particles enabling interconnections through adhesive thickness (the Z-axis) between substrates.

3M Removable Repositionable Tape 9415PC is an acrylic adhesive 400 and 1000 on a 78 lb polycoated kraft paper liner and polyester film carrier. High tack/low tack. Medium temperature and low solvent resistance. Medium/low HSE and low LSE.

3M Photographic Tape 235 is an opaque black paper tape used in general purpose photography applications. It has a black paper backing with black pigmented rubber adhesive and can be used to mask negatives, repair camera bellows or seal envelopes and metal film containers.
